Actors of ALL ethnicities ages 16 & up are encouraged to audition.

AUDITION INFORMATION
Please come any time during the audition dates and times. Auditions will last about 30 minutes. No prepared material is required, but there will be cold readings from the script. All roles are volunteer and unpaid.
*Bring your calendars and be prepared to note any rehearsal conflicts from the information below.
REHEARSAL INFORMATION
Our first read through/meeting will be Thursday, March 5 at 7pm and rehearsals beginning Tuesday, March 10. These will generally be Tuesday and Thursdays evenings from 7-9pm (except for a few Wednesday rehearsals), and Saturdays from 2-5pm.
*NO absences allowed during tech weeks (April 13-24) and during performances. A more specific rehearsal schedule will be available at auditions.

CASTING INFORMATION
Actors are required to be ages 16 & up. All character’s ages below are a suggestion, and can be adapted to suit available actors. Nine actors are needed, but may be playing several different characters.

Dotty Otley / Mrs. Clacket (F):
(Off stage Dotty) A late-middle-aged American actress. Forgetful. Dating a younger man. (On Stage Character: Mrs. Clackett): A Cockney Housekeeper for the Brent's home in England. Hospitable, though slow.
Brooke Ashton / Vicki (F):
(Off Stage: Brooke) A young inexperienced American actress. Pays no attention to other performers. Is always losing her contact lenses. (On Stage Character: Vicki): An English woman who works for Inland Revenue and is trying to woo Roger.
Belinda Blair / Flavia Brent (F):
(Off stage Belinda) : Cheerful and sensible, a reliable American actress. (On Stage Character: Flavia Brent): Phillip Brent's English wife. She is dependable, though not one for household duties.
Poppy Norton-Taylor (F): American Stage Manager. Emotional and over-sensitive, and envious of Brooke, whom she understudies. Carrying Lloyd's child.
Lloyd Dallas (M): The director of the play, Nothing On. Temperamental.
Garry Lejeune / Roger (M): (Off stage: Garry) An American actor with speech affectations that disappear onstage but are ever present offstage. (On Stage Character: Roger): An English Real estate agent who is attempting to rent Flavia's and Phillip's home, but uses it for his own personal benefit.
Frederick Fellows /Phillip Brent / Sheikh (M): (Off stage: Freddy) An American actor
with a serious fear of violence and blood. (On Stage Character: Phillip Brent): An Englishman who lives out of the country with his wife Flavia to avoid paying taxes. (On Stage Character: Sheikh): A Middle-Eastern, Interested in renting Flavia's and Phillip's home and is the spitting image of Phillip.
Selsdon Mowbray / Burglar (M): (Off Stage: Selsdon Mowbray): An elderly alcoholic Englishman who hides his bottles onstage. Is hard of hearing when he wants to be. (On Stage Character: Burglar): Elderly and with actorly mannerisms. Plays an old man in his seventies, breaking into the Brents’ house in Nothing’s On.
Timothy Allgood (M): An overworked American Assistant Stage Manager. Understudies
Selsdon and Freddy.
