On Stage After Dark announces auditions for:
THE CUPID CABARET Auditions: Friday, January 19th 6:30pm to 8:30pm and Saturday, January 20th 12:00pm to 2pm. at the Onstage Theater On Stage After Dark is looking for performers for THE CUPID CABARET Come with your stand-up comedy, skit, dramatic reading, song or dance! … The theme is LOVE – all types. Happy, sad, passionate, heartbreaking, funny… Think America's Got Talent meets The Carol Burnett Show! This is your time to shine! You may audition with your own material (song, skit, dance, etc) or choose to be in one of our director-chosen pieces listed below! It is all up to you! Female acts: I Can Hear the Bells- Hairspray Happily Ever After- Once Upon A Mattress As Long As He Needs Me - Oliver Male acts: "What Do I Need With Love?" -Thoroughly Modern Millie Shiksa Goddess- The Last 5 Years If I Can't Love Her- Beauty and the Beast Group number: Seasons Of Love - Rent Make sure you come to auditions with your act ready to go! Auditions will be held at the On Stage Playhouse- 215 High School Ave. All acts should be no more than 5 minutes long and vocalists should bring their own music tracks or musicians. (no acapella auditions, please). The role of our "Master of Ceremonies" (MC) will also be cast from these auditions. The MC should have a show-stealing stage presence, the ability to write their own material, and be strong at improv. If auditioning for the MC, you will be asked to read from a script. Please feel free to present original material as well. You must be 18 or older to audition. Auditions: Friday, January 19th 6:30pm to 8:30pm and Saturday, January 20th 12:00pm to 2pm at the Onstage Theater. Line up emailed out on Sunday, January 21st. Please note the following rehearsal schedule. You must be able to attend all days to participate: -Wednesday, January 31st – 7pm to 9pm (group number members only) -Monday, February 5th -7pm to 9:30pm -Wednesday, February 7th -7pm to 9:30pm -Shows: Friday, February 9th at 8pm and Saturday, February 10th at 8pm |
