ATTENTION ACTORS:
ALL cast and crew for this production must be fully vaccinated to audition and perform.  

Due to the limited space backstage of the playhouse, social distancing will be impossible, and therefore the Board of Directors has determined this is the best option to protect our members and productions.

We define a “fully vaccinated” individual as one who has received their second shot of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines or a single shot of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine and has received the final shot at least 14 days before the first rehearsal.  Because of this policy, mask wearing and social distancing will not be enforced during rehearsal, following the CDC guidelines.

AUDITION INFORMATION

Please come any time during the audition dates and times. 
Actors MUST wear a mask to enter and have proof of vaccination.  Social distancing will be enforced. 
Auditions will last about 20 to 30 minutes. 
There will be cold readings from the script.    

*Bring your calendars and be prepared to note any rehearsal conflicts from the information below.    

 

REHEARSAL INFORMATION
Our first read through/parent meeting will be Thursday, 3/3 @ 7:00pm and the first rehearsal is scheduled for Tuesday, 3/8 @ 7:00pm.  Rehearsals will generally be Tuesday and Thursdays evenings from 7-9pm, and Saturdays from 2-5pm.  A more specific rehearsal schedule will be available at auditions.  No absences allowed during tech weeks and during performances.

PERFORMANCE NOTE:
All show patrons will be required to wear a face mask during the entire performance so that we may fill the playhouse to capacity.  NO EXCEPTIONS. 
We want our On Stage Family to enjoy the show and to be safe!

CASTING INFORMATION

Actors of ALL ethnicities are encouraged to audition

Understudies will also be cast.

 

  • Felix Ungar: A fastidious, hypochondriac news-writer whose marriage is ending.

  • Oscar Madison: A slovenly, recently divorced sportswriter and Felix's best friend.

  • Murray: A NYPD policeman, one of Felix's and Oscar's poker buddies.

  • Speed: One of the poker buddies. Gruff and sarcastic, often picking on Vinnie and Murray.

  • Vinnie: One of the poker buddies. Vinnie is mild-mannered and henpecked, making him an easy target for Speed's verbal barbs.

  • Roy: One of the poker buddies. Oscar's accountant. Roy has a dry wit but is less acerbic than Speed.

  • Cecily and Gwendolyn Pigeon: Felix's and Oscar's giggly upstairs neighbors, a pair of English sisters. The former is a divorcée, the latter a widow.
