ATTENTION ACTORS:  
All cast and crew ages 18 and above must be fully vaccinated for Covid-19 to audition and perform.
All cast and crew ages 17 and under are encouraged, but not required, to be vaccinated for Covid-19. 
 
This is subject to changed.
Masks will be required during the rehearsal process until tech week.  


We define a “fully vaccinated” individual as one who has received their second shot of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines or a single shot of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine and has received the final shot at least 14 days before the first rehearsal.  Covid policies are subject to change, following the CDC guidelines.

AUDITION INFORMATION
Please come any time during the audition dates and times.  Actors MUST wear a mask to enter.  
Auditions will last about 30 minutes.  
Please prepare about 1 minute of a song to sing.  You can sing with an instrumental track or accapella.  
There will be cold readings from the script and a dance audition taught.  
*Bring your calendars and be prepared to note any rehearsal conflicts from the information below.    

 

REHEARSAL INFORMATION
Rehearsals will generally be Tuesday and Thursdays evenings from 7-9pm, and Saturdays from 2-5pm.  
A more specific rehearsal schedule will be available at auditions.  
No absences allowed during tech weeks and during performances.  

Rehearsals will start on Tuesday, May 3rd.

Matilda Wormwood
An imaginative girl who is clever and wise far beyond her years. She has a thirst for learning that cannot be quenched.
Age: 8 to 12

Miss Agatha Trunchbull
The tyrannical headmistress at Matilda's school who despises children.
Age: 35 to 55

Miss Honey
Matilda's kindhearted teacher. She is tired of living in fear under Miss Trunchbull.
Age: 25 to 40
Vocal range top: D5

Mr. Wormwood
Matilda's uncaring father. A slimy, greedy used-car salesman.
Age: 35 to 45

Mrs. Wormwood
Matilda's self-absorbed, negligent mother and an amateur ballroom dancer.
Age: 35 to 45

Michael Wormwood
Matilda's older brother. He is not very bright and favored by their parents.
Age: 10 to 16

Bruce
Matilda's classmate. He is subject to extreme punishment by Miss Trunchbull.

Lavender
Matilda's classmate and friend.

Mrs. Phelps
A nice librarian.

The Escapologist
A character in a story Matilda tells to Mrs. Phelps who comes to life in their imagination.
