About On Stage

With the purpose of "bringing a little culture to our town", On Stage is Walton County's community theatre.  On Stage organized in 1971 and incorporated in 1974.  Shows were held at the First Methodist Church and at the Monroe Elementary School until 1975, when the Playhouse, an old church building, became On Stage's home.

Each season consists of three plays, a season kick-off reception and summer youth workshops. A portion of ther proceeds from each regular season show goes to a local 501c3 charitable, educational or cultural/historic preservation organization.

On Stage has produced over 115 shows since 1974 and continues to be an important cultural attraction for Walton County and beyond.

We need talented and energetic volunteers both on the stage and behind the scenes. Help is needed in all aspects of show production including; directing, acting, set building, costumes, props, make-up, photography, publicity, and fund-raising.
